Vietnam, Hungary expand cooperation

Vietnam and Hungary will promote cooperation in healthcare, education and training, investment and trade, agriculture, and tourism and share experience in handling a transitional economy.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Bui Xuan Khu, Head of the Vietnamese subcommittee, expressed his hope that the two sides will soon implement projects using preferential credit and requested the Hungarian government to recognize Vietnam as a market economy in the near future.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese government will provide all favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation. He thanked the Hungarian government for its assistance to Vietnam in the areas of agriculture, fisheries, education, economic and administrative reform and hoped that Viet Nam will receive more aid from Hungary.
György Gilyan, State Secretary and Head of the Hungarian subcommittee, said that the Hungarian government highly valued the country’s cooperative ties with Vietnam and pledged to actively support Vietnam in all fields. As a member of the European Union, Hungary is willing to act as a bridge for Vietnam’s commodities to enter the EU market and hopes that Vietnam will reciprocally help Hungary export goods to Southeast Asia, Gylian stressed.
