U.S. ambassador arrives to Hungary

The U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, Colleen Bell, arrived in Budapest yesterday afternoon with her husband Bradley and their family. The new ambassador was received by Levente Magyar, state secretary of the Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry, on behalf of the Hungarian government.

Bell will take over the position of top U.S. representative in Hungary from André Goodfriend, who will remain at the embassy and is scheduled to continue working here for more than a year. Bell is scheduled to meet Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó for dinner or Thursday. She has not spoken to the press yet.
