Treasury’s software upgrade to make same-day financial transaction possible

According to National Economy Ministry state secretary András Tállai, Hungary’s State Treasury is expected to implement software developments within the year that will allow it to carry out same-day financial transactions, Hungarian daily Magyar Hírlap said today.
The state secretary noted that it was feasible that regulations on the Treasury could be modified this year to expand its role. The paper noted that the Hungarian government, driven by recent brokerage scandals, suggested that local councils keep their money with the Treasury in the future.
