President Sarkozy to speak at Hungarian Parliament

History

President of the Republic of France Nicolas Sarkozy is to visit Hungary on September 14. Sarkozy will deliver a speech in the Parliament, announced Katalin Szili, for which the members of the Board of Diplomacy are invited as well.

Szili added that the speech will not only be the single event on Sept 14 – the Parliament will host a forum of the Hungarian MPs of the Carpathian basin and the Nabucco conference on the same day. She called the attention of the MPs to the regular schedule of the Parliament: Mondays and Tuesdays are reserved for plenary sessions. She reminded the MPs that the debate may start with the speech of president László Sólyom, however, there have been only 7 occasions since the change of the regime that the president used this opportunity to address the house.
