Poland’s PGNiG, Lotos in talks on joint exploration – report

The Parkiet business daily quoted the spokesmen for both state-controlled companies as saying the two were in talks about possible cooperation, but did not give further details. They were not immediately available for comment. A Polish deputy treasury minister had suggested such cooperation, which would allow the two to share related expenses, earlier this year.
Poland is seeking to lessen its reliance on Russian oil and gas, which provides the lion’s share of its energy needs. (Reuters)
