Official: Deficit expected to remain under threshold
Hungary's generel government deficit is expected to stay under the European Union’s 3% threshold even in the event that the economy grows at an annual rate of 2% or more, state secretary Péter Benő Bánai said in an interview on state-owned Kossuth radio.
The Hungarian government foresees a GDP growth of 2.5% this year and targets a general government deficit of 2.4% of GDP.
