IMF delegation to discuss municipality reform - Népszabadság

A delegation of the International Monetary Fund is conducting talks with the Hungarian government on technical assistance; the results of the talks are expected to be finalized next week, daily Népszabadság said on Friday, adding that the talks are not about the provision of a new loan.
The paper said the government has asked the assistance of the IMF for the restructuring of the municipal system.
Népszabadság said the fact of the talks have been confirmed to the paper by a high-ranking official of the National Economy Ministry. It is not the first time the Fidesz-government has turned to the IMF for technical assistance, they have already asked for advice on social policy and labor market affairs, the unnamed source said.
