Hungary to save Ft 70 bln in drug subsidies

The government is planning to save Ft 70 billion by cutting spending on drug subsidies, business daily Világgazdaság reported, citing no one.
Lajos Molnár, the candidate to become the next health minister, intends to change the current system of drug subsidies and pricing policies, Világgazdaság said.
The government expects to spend Ft 298 billion on drug subsidies this year, which compares with Ft 284 billion projected for last year. Actual spending amounted to Ft 349 billion last year, Világgazdaság said.
