Hungary to refurbish Jewish cemeteries

History

Members of the Hungarian Parliament met in the Knesset in Jerusalem with lawmaker Yisrael Eichler, chairman of the Hungarian Friends of Israel organization, and committed to refurbish 120 Jewish cemeteries in Hungary, according to a report by Yeshiva World News yesterday.

The refurbishment of the cemeteries are foreseen to be carried out through an estimated cost of $3 million a year, the report added.

The representatives also discussed the challenges caused by refugees from the Middle East in the ongoing migration crisis, the report said.
