Hungary: Tax returns will be easier next year

The government will halve the number of tax return forms for Hungarian companies and self-employed individuals in 2008, and it will make the forms much simpler and shorter, Finance Minister János Veres promised at a press conference on Thursday held with János Szikora, president of Apeh, and László Zara, head the Hungarian Association of Tax Advisors.
The number of tax report forms to be filled out will decrease from 59 to 23, several minor declarations will be canceled. Instructions for filling out the forms will be made shorter and uniform, and with the spread of electronic forms, data requirements will be simplified too. (Napi Gazdaság)
