Gazprom agrees to sell natural gas directly to French customers

Gazprom reached an agreement to sell fuel directly to French consumers starting next year, as it expands into retail sales in Europe.

OAO Gazprom, Russia's natural-gas-export monopoly, will announce more details of the agreement after an opening ceremony at the Paris office of Gazprom Market and Trading Ltd. on November 24, Deputy CEO Sergei Yemelyanov said today, according to a spokesman, who declined to be identified because of company rules.
