Farm ministry state secretary holds talks in Belarus

Farm ministry State Secretary Márton Bitay met with the Belarusian Vice Minister for Agriculture Vladimir Grakun yesterday in Minsk to discuss opportunities for Hungarian-Belarusian cooperation in the area of agriculture, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding for agricultural cooperation. 

Bitay said new opportunities could arise with the establishment of Hungarian-Belarusian joint companies for processing agricultural goods and with Hungarians participating in food industry investments.
