Exim branch opens in Szeged

History

Hungarian Export-Import Bank Plc. (Eximbank) and Hungarian Export Credit Insurance Plc. (MEHIB) opened a new branch in Szeged yesterday, which will provide assistance, support and instruction to exporting companies, suppliers and commercial bank networks.

The main objective of Exim “is to serve Hungarian exporters through the provision of effective financing and insurance facilities. Acting as a tool for providing economic policy incentive, the mission of Eximbank and MEHIB is to support Hungarian exporting enterprises in facilitating the retention of jobs, growth in employment and an expansion of Hungary’s export capacities”, the company's official website says.

Eximbank and MEHIB are both Hungarian state-owned financial institutions performing the tasks of the country’s export credit agency with the “basic objective of facilitating the sale of Hungarian goods and services to foreign markets”.

Exim has recently opened a number of branches in Hungary's largest cities.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
