Dunaferr strike continues

Workers at Hungarian steelmaker ISD Dunaferr continued a strike on Thursday, after talks with management in the afternoon failed to produce an agreement, the company said on its website. "The earlier stands of the negotiating parties are unchanged and the strike at the company is continuing; but both sides have expressed their intention to continue the negotiations," ISD Dunaferr said. Talks between unions and the management will take place again on Friday. The open-ended strike over wages started on Wednesday afternoon, shutting down the company's hot-rolled steel mill. ISD Dunaferr owner, Ukraine's ISD Donbass Group, decided in December to shut down the company's Lőrinci Steel Mill.
