Contract moratorium to be halved

The parliament votes today about halving the public procurement contracts moratorium, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. According to the government proposal, the contract moratorium would last only 10 days after announcing the winners of public procurement tenders. This aims to put SMEs at an advantage.
The new regulation would be in effect only between September 15 and December 31 because the government plans to present a whole new public procurement law from 2011. (BBJ)
