Banco Popolare might sell its Hungarian subsidiary
Banco Popolare SC (BP), Italy’s fourth- biggest bank, is in advanced talks to sell its Hungarian subsidiary to a local financier, reports Bloomberg quoting Il Sole 24 Ore, which did not say how it got the information.
The sale isn’t on the agenda of the board meeting scheduled for Aug. 26 to approve first-half results, the newspaper said, adding that Popolare plans to exit Croatia after Hungary.
