ÁAK fined Ft 3 mln by KDB

The State Motorway Management Rt (ÁAK) has been fined for Ft 3 million by the Public Procurement Committee (KDB), which found ÁAK's decision to sign a purchase agreement without a prior public procurement tender unjustified, Napi Gazdaság reported. In September, the motorway management company invited four printing companies to participate in a negotiated procedure for supplying 2006 highway stickers. A Ft 274 million contract was signed in October with a consortium formed by Állami Nyomda Rt and M-Real Petofi Kft. According to ÁAK, only the Q1 stickers were urgent.
