Ökotárs Foundation will no longer manage Norway Grants
Ökotárs Foundation will no longer be part of the management and distribution of funds paid to Hungarian civil organisations from the Norwegian government under its Norway Grants scheme in the next funding cycle, the Prime Ministerʼs Office said today in a statement.
The agreement was reached as part of the talks between Norway and Hungary about the future handling of funds, the statement said, adding that it was concerns about Ökotárs that earlier lead to an argument between Hungary and Norway.
Nándor Csepreghy state secretary at the prime ministerʼs office announced on December 10 that the Norwegian government has agreed with Hungary to restart payments after suspending them in May 2014.
