Vodafone Hungary launched ‘Vodafone Felvono Tavfelugyelet,’ a remote monitoring system for elevators, reports Telecompaper.

People trapped inside faulty elevators can request the intervention of a rescue team by pressing an emergency button in the elevator. In addition, elevators covered by the service are constantly supervised through a central emergency system that automatically gets information about glitches through a remote diagnostic system.

The service is available for a monthly fee in the capital Budapest as well as in other cities around Hungary.
