US embassy to require electronic visa application form

As required by US law, beginning on November 1, 2006, the US Embassy will only accept applications for visas that have been completed using the electronic visa application form (EVAF) available through the US Embassy web site. No handwritten applications will be accepted after October 31, 2006. The electronic visa application form and instructions are available from the web site of the embassy. Applicants should note that once the form has been completed on a computer, it must be printed and brought with the applicant to the interview. The form must be completed in English; however, a Hungarian translation is also available on the web site. The new system will ensure that all applications are fully and accurately completed and will facilitate efficiency in the processing and issuance of visas for Hungarian citizens.
