Swiss company plans Ft 20 bln hotel near Pécs

Switzerland's Eldra plans to build a Ft 20 billion hotel in the Mecsek hills near the city of Pécs in southwest Hungary, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Monday.
The hotel, to be built on a former campsite, will cater to tourists when Pécs carries the European Capital of Culture title in 2010. Eldra has already purchased the 3.2 hectare site, but it will have to be rezoned to allow for construction, a local council official told the paper.
