Police raid Győr football stadium
Both the park and stadium complex of Győr’s football team have been taken over by the Hungarian police investgating the Quaestor brokerage scandal, attorney general Tibor Ibolya told Hungarian state-owned M1 TV channel late yesterday, according to online daily origo.hu.
Ibolya noted that on March 11 the police held four searches and confiscated tens of thousands of paper documents and 800 gigabytes of digital data in connection with the Quaestor brokerage’s scandal.
According to Origo, Ibolya did not disclose further details, but said that the company’s CEO Csaba Tarsoly and his two associates have been arrested and are facing a criminal investigation “of fraud”.
