Patent and trademark office handles 77,000 procedures

Hungaryʼs Intellectual Property Office handled approximately 77,000 procedures last year, Hungarian economic daily Napi Gazdaság reported today.
Applications for trademarks accounted for about half of the procedure and patent applications for 40%, the paper said, adding that one-fifth of the patent applications were related to European patents.
The time for processing industrial patents was reduced by 10-30%, the paper added.
