New tobacco sales tenders announced
The National Tobacco Sales Nonprofit Company (NDN) has announced another tender for tobacco sales concessions, Hungarian news agency MTI reported late yesterday.
The tender is the sixth called for concessions since Hungary introduced a state monopoly on retail tobacco sales in July of 2013.
It is for concessions in 490 communities. The deadline for submitting applications is May 2, 2015. At present, about 5,845 tobacco shops with concessions operate in Hungary. A further 476 shops are selling tobacco temporarily, until an applicant is awarded the respective concession.
