Matolcsy invites supportive research at MNB

The new management of the central bank has invited research papers from its employees, mostly in topics that are supportive of the monetary political approach that the leadership of National Bank of Hungary (MNB) governor György Matolcsy will represent. Researchers may submit studies in 16 categories on subjects detailing the mistakes made by the previous management as well as in support of the more active and more loyal approach that Matolcsy pledged would be the MNB’s own in the future. Staff reports in the past have often dismissed such tools citing their risks.
