Lidl raises funds for Pilis forest

The Hungarian unit of German retailer Lidl is raising money to donate to the restoration of Hungaryʼs Pilis Forest after a devastating storm hit the area in December 2014, the company announced in a press release today.
According to the report, Lidl will provide HUF 1 on the sale of every Saguaro mineral water. So far the company has collected HUF 11 mln since the campaign began on July 1. The donation will contribute to the purchase of saplings.
"The protection of our national treasures is a key priority for our company, therefore we decided to support the restoration of the Pilis Forest by selling mineral water," said Judit Tőzsér, PR manager of Lidl Hungary.
In December 2014, the freezing rain damaged approximately 50 thousand hectares of state owned forest. The Lidl campaign will run until August 31.
