BDO labor consulting, headed by Attila Máriás, continues its operations at BDO Legal Jókay & Partners Law Office.
BDO Legalʼs Managing Partner István Jókay has gained experience as an attorney at the Austrian CHSH office, and then at PwCʼs corporate tax and international tax department. BDO Legal was launched as a result of previous successful collaboration with Jókay & Partners. Together with legal advice, BDO Hungaryʼs business scope now covers eight fields.
“As a professional consulting company, we constantly strive to provide our clients with the widest possible range of professional support for their business,” says Zoltán Gerendy, BDO Hungaryʼs senior and tax advisory partner. “I am convinced that we have found the optimal partner for the development of our legal advisory business in Jókay & Partners, a law firm possessing a recognized and serious international client base.”
BDO Global decided to start expanding into the legal business in 2011, and after several success stories abroad, BDO Legal was born in Hungary, the press release recalls.
“Our office has a highly experienced lawyer team, and our existing expertise is complemented by the experience of BDO advisers,” says Jókay. “BDO Hungary is now able to provide legal, tax and financial due diligence in one place.”
In GDPR consulting, Jókay notes that the law officeʼs data protection lawyers are now working with BDO Hungaryʼs IT consultants.
“In the future, BDO Legal will also provide complex counseling in the field of labor law, combining the knowledge of our labor law group and BDO Hungaryʼs labor consultants with significant regulatory control experience,” he adds.
