Competition lawyer Dr. Bálint Bassola (pictured) was appointed leader of the competition group at Hungarian law firm Jalsovcsky Ügyvédi Iroda in mid-March, the firm said in a press release.

Bassola (37) used to work for the Hungarian Competition Office (GVH) prior to working with a global and regional international law firm, specializing in competition law. The publications of Chambers & Partners and Legal500 acknowledge the professional as one of the most-recognized competition lawyers in Hungary.

“Bálint’s arrival is a milestone in the life of our ten-year-old firm,” company leader Pál Jalsovszky said. “Bálint is one of the most outstanding individuals in the field of competition law and during our earlier periods of working together, he convinced us that his personality perfectly fits our team,” the leader added.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
