Croatian oil and gas company INA, a unit of Hungary's MOL, won an exploration license for two blocks in the southern Adriatic, news agency HINA reported.

Croatia’s Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak said licenses for hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation in ten exploration blocks in the Adriatic were awarded to five companies. In addition to INA, Marathon Oil, OMV, Eni and Medoilgas were also awarded licenses.

The decision on the award of the licenses was made at a closed-door session of the Croatian government on Friday.
