Hungary entertainment, media market set to grow annual 6.2% till 2015

Hungary’s entertainment and media industry is set to grow an average annual 6.2% to reach HUF 924bn in 2015, according to an analysis by consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

The country’s entertainment and media market was worth HUF 676bn in 2010.

PwC projects 15.7% annual growth for internet subscriptions, supported by smartphones and mobile internet.

Television’s share of the entertainment and media market is set to fall, PwC said.

The market for printed media is not expected to reach its pre-crisis level for another five years, according to the analysis.
