Hungarian expert elected member of European Patent Office advisory committee

György Pintz, head of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Association, has been elected a member of the European Patent Office's Standing Advisory Committee for three years, the association told MTI today.

The statement said this is the first time that a Hungarian expert has been elected member of the advisory committee since the European Patent Office was established 40 years ago. Members can be elected in three different ways: ten members represent the industrial sector, ten are professional patent representatives and a further ten members are chosen personally by the head of the EPO.

György Pintz was selected personally by the chairman of the office.
