Five women in the finals of AmCham Women of Excellence Award

Following the success of the first AmCham Women of Excellence Award, launched in 2010, AmCham organizes the second Women of Excellence Award - Excellence in Leadership - in 2011.

Nomination for the AmCham Women of Excellence Award was open from summer 2011 for recommending such women in leading roles who set an outstanding example for others – be it leadership in a company, successful management of a pioneering enterprise or a leading role in the non-profit or academic life. This year, as well as last year, AmCham  received 52 nominations from various cities of the country. The applications called the attention of the professional Jury in every case to successful, inspiring and exemplary women.

According to the decision of the jury, five ladies were invited to the finals. Júlia Király, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Hungary, Réka Matheidesz, founder and CEO of WAMP, Éva Patzauer, founder and CEO of Csodalámpa Foundation, Sándorné, Éva Kriszt, rector of Budapest Business School and Ildikó Szűts, consultant for the president and communications director of OTP Bank.

However, only one woman can receive the award, thus the winner will be announced on November 8, 2011, at the Fifth Annual Conference on Diversity organized by AmCham and held at Hotel Hilton (Buda Castle).

Réka Vágó, Hungarian shoe designer will design and create a pair of tailor-made, unique shoes for the winner of the award and the five finalists can participate in a Leadership Training thanks to Franklin Covey.
