E.ON called up by DJSI
E.ON has been admitted to a notable index for sustainable companies, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
E.ON CEO Wulf H. Bernotat commented „Admission to the Sustainability Index is important recognition of our high transparency levels and our responsible business. It is also a clear signal that E.ON is particularly responsible in creating value for investors and society alike. „Being listed is an incentive for management to put a stronger emphasis on the dimension of sustainability in all decisions it takes.”
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index only selects the best global or European listed companies from specific industries. From September 24, 2007, E.ON is going to be one of only two German companies in the „Utilities” group of the DJSI World and the DJSI STOXX. Companies have to earn admission to this index every year as poor ratings can lead to their expulsion. (energycurrent)
