The sale of GDF SUEZ’s 99.9% stake in its universal service gas trading company in Hungary, GDF SUEZ Energia Magyarország Zrt., to state-owned gas distributor Főgáz Zrt. has been facilitated by the Hungarian office of Dentons, according to an announcement issued today.

The advisory team in Budapest was led by Partner Anita Horváth, supported by Counsel Balázs Fazekas and Associates Balazs Varszeghi, Tünde Gönczöl, Márton Kertész and Eszter Fodor.

“We are very proud to have had the opportunity to support GDF SUEZ in this transaction,” commented Anita Horváth, lead partner on the deal. “This deal is a great example of Dentons’ ability to liaise at the highest level with major multinationals, while capitalizing on local ties and a deep understanding of the domestic regulatory and business landscape," she added.
