Consortium wins tender to build port infrastructure
A consortium of Vegyépszer Zrt, Betonút Zrt, Közgép Zrt, MÁV Hajdú Kft and Resonator Kft has won a public purchase procedure to build infrastructure at the Győr-Gönyü port on the Danube, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Wednesday.
The consortium's offer was within the prescribed bidding range of net Ft 7.2 billion-Ft 7.5 billion, a representative of Vegyépszer told the paper, without revealing the exact bid.
EU funding and central budget co-financing under the Environment and Infrastructure Operative Program are expected to cover Ft 7 billion of the costs. The consortium's work at the port, which includes the construction of rail and road connections, is expected to be completed by March 2008. Further developments, however, will continue until 2013.
The tender was the second one called for the project after the Public Procurement Arbitration Committee (KDB) declared the first one to be without result. KDB is also investigating claims by participants in the second tender that the formal requirements for bidding in the invitation were too stringent. KDB will hold a hearing on the matter on September 6.
