Árpád-Agrár inaugurates HUF 1.2 bln greenhouse investment

Agribusiness Árpád-Agrár inaugurated a HUF 1.2 billion seedling greenhouse investment in Szegvár (135 km southeast of Budapest) on Thursday, Hungarian news agency MTI reports.

The company was awarded HUF 492 million in grant money for the greenhouse investment, with glass on 1.5 hectares and plastic sheeting on 0.7 hectare.
Árpád-Agrár has a total of 60 hectares of greenhouses, two-thirds glass and one-third plastic sheeting. The greenhouses are heated by 20 thermal wells.
The company sold more than 23 mln seedlings last year. Its biggest products are white peppers, spicy green peppers and tomatoes.
