Állami Nyomda to make driving licenses for Albania
Állami Nyomda Nyrt, a Hungarian printer that makes the country's identification cards and election ballots, won an order worth Ft 100 million to produce driving licenses for Albania, the company announced.
Állami Nyomda, based in Budapest, signed a contract with the Hungarian unit of French software maker Bull SA to print biometric driving license cards for Albania and to expand the capacity of the card personalization system operated by Albanian authorities. “This follows an earlier order of similar value to Albania,” Gábor Zsámboki, deputy chief executive officer responsible for sales, told Bloomberg in an interview. “Bull picked Állami because we have significant experience in supplying both security cards and the software needed for data collection.”
Állami Nyomda, whose clients include governments, banks and phone companies in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia and Slovakia, listed its shares in Budapest last December. They have increased 4% since their debut, valuing the company at Ft 8.9 billion.
