A digital accident statement application developed by the Association of Hungarian Insurance Companies (MABISZ) has been downloaded more than 62,000 times since its launch a week ago, MABISZ said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Almost 50 accident statements were filed using the mobile application during the period, MABISZ said.

The digital accident statement is tantamount to the familiar blue and yellow paper accident statement, but is easier and faster to fill out.

The application can be downloaded from the ekar.hu website.
