Local shooting venues will "bring to life" the Wonderland of Lewis Carroll in the U.S.-Hungarian co-production Get Lost, which starts filming late in July, the National Film Institute said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Get Lost, made by Hungary's Filmsquad and US-based Patriot Pictures, will be shot in the Castle of Tura and on the Danube Bend, as well as at venues in the capital, including Fisherman's Bastion, Heroes' Square, the Gellert Hotel, the Vajdahunyad Castle and the Budapest Operetta Theatre.

The film is directed by Daniela Amavia and stars Ella Bleu Travolta, Sasha Luss, Edouard Philipponnat, Terrence Howard, and James Cromwell.

In the picture, Alicia, played by Travolta, is on a mission to fulfill her mother's last wish when she enters the magically transformed Budapest.

The film was awarded HUF 180 million in production support from the National Film Institute.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
