Budapestʼs Liszt Ferenc Airport launches new landing system
Budapest Airport, operator of the capital’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport, finished the installation of a new Instrumental Landing System (ILS) on Runway 2, the longer of the airportʼs two runways, the company announced on Friday according to reports.
Full-scale operation of the system is expected to be launched as of the end of June, after a month passed with testing and adjustments. Runway 1, the airport’s shorter runway, is expected to receive the new system this summer, through an investment of HUF 465 million.
