BKK receives Siemens digitization accolade

Budapest Transport Center (BKK) has received the Siemens Digitization award, which is given to companies that acknowledge the importance of digitization and make efforts to transform their operations, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

BBK CEO Dr. Kálmán Dabóczi accepted the award on behalf of the company. According to the press statement, digitization comprises automation, optimization of processes as well as collecting and analyzing data. Such complexity can be used to optimize almost all the branches of a company.

BKK says it is committed to meet the requirements of the users of public transport, and that no developments can take place nowadays at the center that are not be related to digitization. According to BKK, tasks such as buying a new tram or developing roads, can be regarded as infrastructure development as much as IT development.
