U.S. Ambassador to step down after the summer
United States Ambassador to Budapest Eleni Tsakopoulos Kounalakis will part with her post after the summer, MTIreported citing the embassy. The diplomatic service declined to give a specific date regarding the personnel change or any information about who the successor may be. MTI cited a report in the Wall Street Journal which said U.S. President Barack Obama is currently setting up to assign several senior diplomatic positions among people who aided his campaign that won him reelection in 2012.
