T-Mobile chief leaves, MTelekom head takes over mobile arm

Hungary's incumbent operator Magyar Telekom Rt announced on Monday that András Sugár, chief executive officer of T-Mobile Hungary, the mobile arm of MTelekom, will leave his post as of September 6. According to the official statement, Sugár will leave by mutual consent. MTelekom Chairman-CEO Elek Straub, who is also a board member of T-Mobile, will replace Sugár as acting CEO from tomorrow.
András Sugár has made a tremendous contribution to the Magyar Telekom Group over the years. His experience and industry knowledge have been instrumental in the development of the Hungarian mobile business," MTelekom said in a statement on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT).
Sugár has commented his departure by appraising T-Mobile (formerly Westel), its team and the huge successes they achieved. I could not identify with the future perspectives of the owners," he said in explanation of his departure.
