Malév Rt, Hungary's national airline being sold by the government, will set up a subsidiary to handle its kerosene supply activities, daily Népszabadság reported. The unit will also operate a pipeline connecting Mol Rt's refinery in Százhalombatta, 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Budapest, and the Hungarian capital's international airport. Mol Rt is part of a group bidding for a majority stake in airfield operator Budapest Airport Rt to gain control of the pipeline and secure kerosene supply contracts, said Lajos Alacs, head of fuel trading at the company, on July 1. Malév is in talks to sell the pipeline to Budapest Airport to pay back debt.
