Lóránt Kibédi Varga is new Dutchcham chairman

Lóránt Kibédi Varga was appointed chairman of the Netherlands-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, and Frido Diepeveen the vice-chairman yesterday, according to a press release issued today.

Varga (pictured, left) has been the acting vice-chairman and charity manager of the chamber’s board since he joined more than a decade ago, the press release said. With the assistance of Varga, the chamber participated in the construction of the Habitat for Humanity project in 2004 and 2006, made significant contributions to the Heim Pál Children’s Hospital Development Foundation in 2005, and supported the Autifarm at Csókakő. He also played a significant role in the Let’s Colour project, painting buildings and planting Tulips at various locations, according to the press release.

Varga, who is also the managing director of CBRE Hungary, has brought his real estate expertise to the Dutcham by hosting and organizing the Annual Real Estate Seminar to share the latest trends and figures with other members of the chamber.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
