Qatar buys villa on Andrassy út for embassy

Analysis

The State of Qatar has bought the former villa of Hungary's Dignitary Protection Service situated on the capital's posh Andrássy út for approximately HUF 1 bln, the National Asset Management Company (MNV) reported today.

The property was put on auction several times, unsuccessfully, prior to this acquisition. Qatar will reportedly use the property for its embassy to Hungary.
