Forint firms to EUR, CHF, softens to USD

The forint was trading at 316.87 to the euro at 5:45pm on Tuesdayʼs interbank forex market, firming from 317.35 late on Monday.

During the day the euro forint exchange rate moved between 319.16 forints and 315,83 forints.

The forint traded at 292.48 to the dollar, down from 291.33 late Monday. Trading was mostly steady apart from a few hours in the early afternoon when the dollar fell from 293.97 forints to 291.02 forints before recovering.

The forint was quoted at 291.53 to the Swiss franc compared to 291.97 earlier. The forint weakened twice during the morning, but in the afternoon it strengthened against the franc.
