About 53% of local company finance executives expect Hungary's economy will grow by no more than 1.5% this year, according to a survey conducted in the region by consultancy Deloitte, hrportal.hu reports.

The rate is well under the 60% average for financial sector executives from the region who expect only modest growth in their own countries in 2021.

About 17% of financial sector executives in Hungary augur GDP growth of 1.6%-2.5% this year, and 30% put growth at more than 2.5%.

Close to 600 executives in 17 countries in Central Europe responded to the survey.
