CEOs始 heads not yet sufficiently in clouds, study finds

Digitalization and the use of cloud services are priorities for many CEOs, but they have a hard time figuring out how to implement such technologies and get started. Many are still dependent on old technologies, a study by Microsoft and the ICT Association of Hungary (IVSZ) reveals.
According to the results of the study, 17% of Hungarian CEOs have deep knowledge of cloud services, but 66% have only moderate knowledge. However, 63% plan to use cloud services for customer care, and 55% for marketing purposes. This means that CEOs have started thinking about cloud technologies not only in terms of IT solutions, but for other purposes as well, business news portal vg.hu reported.
Among the not too positive results of the study is that every third company has experienced insufficient server capacity, but only 10% of CEOs have solved this by turning to cloud services. A majority of respondents have chosen to use the traditional but costly solution, expanding their server park.
Those who have not yet chosen this solution argue that the breakdown of internet connections could harm them. But many more have discovered the advantages: flexible capacities, cost-effective services, advanced infrastructure, and much easier conditions for moving the company to another location.
