Slovakia Jobless Rate Edges Down in October

Slovakia's unemployment rate dropped to 5.1% in October from 5.9% in the same period of 2022, data from the Ministry of Labor, Social, Affairs and Family (ÚpsVar) on Monday show.

Across all regions, unemployment has declined, with the number of jobless individuals decreasing by 18,072 compared to the previous year, reaching a nearly 4-year low of 142,194.

Meanwhile, the Department of Labor in Slovakia said it is focusing on supporting municipalities affected by the recent earthquake.
